A very nice hotel with a great cafe at the bottom. Everyone and I do mean everyone at the hotel was exceptionally sweet and friendly. They were like friends that were glad to see you. Great vibe and great staff. Very cosmopolitan vibe. Loved the lighting in the bathroom walls. Nothing was a problem and was greatful to have air-conditioning as Paris was hiting mid 30's in temperatures. They also looked after my bag after checkout as I had a late journey to the Netherlands.

We were due to stay in the Hotel Georgette on Friday 18th August. When we arrived to the hotel the receptionist was honest from the start and explained the air conditioning was broken and they wouldn’t be able to fix it over the weekend. She was polite and respectful and explained that we could have a full refund if the room was too hot. We went up to the room and due to the 31’ heat outside the room on the 6th floor was hotter than a sauna. We found an alternative hotel and I had a full refund for the room on the following Monday. Unfortunately we were unable to stay in the hotel however I will praise the honesty and politeness of the staff and the swift process of a refund!

This is a rather eclectic hotel, but one that is comfortable, fun and well staffed. This hotel is what I would call a classic pensione, a small hotel that covers basic hotel services. The rooms are small, but clean and the climate controls were superior. The bathroom facilities were better than the room itself. Just be prepared for unusual wall paper. Perhaps the best feature of the hotel is the embedded restaurant and bar, which is a popular sidewalk cafe. The staff was friendly and attentive. The location is good. It is in the Marais and straddles the good part of the Marais and the part that is a bit too commercial. It is within walking distance of the Louvre, Notre Dame, and the Left Bank. It is a block from a Metropolitan stop and a seven minute walk to the RER train at Les Halles.

Overall, this is a great place to stay. It's a little confusing as the front of the hotel doesn't look like any of the website pictures but that is not a problem. There is a handy bar/ cafe with very welcoming staff and it is really handy for coffee, drinks, refreshments on arrival, end of night or before heading for departure. The 24 hoir concierge is great for leaving your key and again always especially friendly. Id booked a superior room. This was disappointing. I can't see any difference between our room and the basic room, so personally I wouldn't pay for the upgrade. That aside, the bed and pillows were some of the comfiest I've had. The rooms are INCREDIBLY small but I call it caravan living ie every single space is well designed to make maximum use. No long wardrobe, but I got around this, and small table area. No problems with wifi. Great location but be aware it's in a grittier area. Not unsafe but if you are looking for gleam and glamour, choose somewhere else. If you're looking for a great location close to buzzing streets and great restaurants you could do a lot worse
